Fashion experts Stacy London and Clinton Kelly convert unknowing but soon-to-be excited fashion disasters from dowdy to dashing during shopping extravaganzas in the fashion-capital of the world, New York City. Hair stylist Nick Arrojo and makeup artist Carmindy add the finishing touches to complete the amazing transformations that stun the participant, their friends… and viewers. It never takes working mom Laura too much time to decide what to wear since she doesn't have much to choose from. Her wardrobe is full of t-shirts, sweat pants and waffle shirts that are all big and baggy. She thinks they make her look thinner. But everyone who knows her thinks Laura is hiding her natural beauty underneath the grubby, shapeless clothes. Stacy London and Clinton Kelly have to persuade Laura that the right clothes are just as easy to throw on and as comfortable to wear as the wrong ones.
